The Quarry Hole 8

This maximum length par 4 demands a tee shot with length and accuracy. This hole is routed between dramatic spoils from previous sand mining. The tee shot must straddle the pit on the right side of the fairway to have a view of the green.

The approach shot for the long par 4 has an extremely wide frontal opening, but steep contours on the right front may deflect a shot that direction to a chipping area, leaving a tricky "bump and run" recovery. The left side is conducive to landing the ball short of the green allowing it to roll on.
Once again the reward for two well-played shots is a reasonably mild putt.
