Kids Ski Programs and Lessons

Our kids ski and snowboarding lessons focus on a variety of terrain so children can gain the confidence they need! Our instructors take the time to teach proper technique so kids improve.

Lesson Reservations: Reservations are preferred and encouraged. Registration closes 1/2 hour prior to lesson time. All reservations must be held with a credit card. Call the Snow Shop at 218-865-8016 or 800-688-7669, ext. 8016, or e-mail the Winter Sports School. Also, check out our "Top 10 Frequently Asked Questions" by our guests. This may help you in your lesson planning!
Helmets: Helmets are highly recommended. Helmets are available for rent in the Snow Shop for $8 each.

This fantastic program is available to all 5th & 6th grade classes on the Iron Range. Students and their teachers spend a school day at Giants Ridge learning to ski. Kids will be introduced to a lifelong sport that can help them stay fit, healthy & active in the winter months. Contact Hannah MacGregor, Winter Sports School Director, to make reservations for the 5th and 6th grade program! DOWNLOADS FOR TEACHERS:
- Complete 5th & 6th Grade Program Packet (complete with a program overview, day trip itinerary, safety information, parent handout, equipment rental details, and information if you have special needs child/ren in your class)
- Know The Code Safety Video (Teachers, your students should watch this video PRIOR TO their visit to Giants Ridge.)
All lesson rates include tax. Programs may be changed or canceled without prior notice. All lesson participants must have lift ticket visible. Lesson policies are posted in the ski school office. The winter sports school is open November 23, 2012 through April 5, 2013. Lessons are available Christmas Eve from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.; winter sports school closes Christmas Eve at 1 p.m. and is closed Christmas Day. The last day of private lessons is April 5, 2013; the last day of GROUP lessons is March 31, 2013.
