Kids Ski Programs and Lessons

The alpine mountain and ski area are closed for the season.
Our kids ski and snowboarding lessons focus on a variety of terrain so children can gain the confidence they need! Our instructors take the time to teach proper technique so kids improve.

Lesson Reservations: Reservations are preferred and encouraged and all reservations must be held with a credit card. Call the Snow Shop at 218-865-8016 or 800-688-7669, ext. 8016, or e-mail the Ski School.
Helmets: Helmets are highly recommended. Helmets are available for rent in the Snow Shop for $8 each.
Group Ski Services: Groups of 15 or more paid lift tickets with ski and snowboard reservations through GROUP Services are eligible for discounted lessons at Giants Ridge.

This fantastic program is available to all 5th & 6th grade classes on the Iron Range. Students and their teachers spend a school day at Giants Ridge learning to ski. Kids will be introduced to a lifelong sport that can help them stay fit, healthy & active in the winter months. Contact Hannah MacGregor, Winter Sports School Director, to make reservations for the 5th and 6th grade program! DOWNLOADS FOR TEACHERS:
- Complete 5th & 6th Grade Program Packet (complete with a program overview, day trip itinerary, safety information, equipment rental details, and information if you have special needs child/ren in your class)
- Parent Handout (dressing your child appropriately to have a fun, safe & warm day!)
- Know The Code Safety Video (Teachers, your students should watch this video PRIOR TO their visit to Giants Ridge.)
All lesson rates include tax. Programs may be changed or canceled without prior notice. All lesson participants must have lift ticket visible. Ski lesson policies are posted in the ski school office. Ski Lessons are available Christmas Eve from 9 am - 1pm. Ski School closes Christmas Eve at 1 p.m. and is closed Christmas Day. The last day of private lessons is March 29, 2012 and the last day of GROUP lessons is March 25, 2012.
