Giants Ridge Winter Sports School team has tons of friendly, well trained instructors waiting to enhance your snow experience. 

We are a Professional Ski Instructors of America certified school, as well as the American Association of Snowboard Instructors. Our instructors will meet your needs for Alpine, Snowboard and X-C coaching on all ability levels.

The director, Hannah MacGregor, is a Biwabik, Minnesota native and learned to ski at Giants Ridge as a child. Hannah has been snowboarding at Giants Ridge for the past 16 years and even had her two small children on snowboards as early as 18 months old!  By the age of four, her son was boarding on almost every run!  Hannah has worked in practically every area of the Giants Ridge operations. She has been an instructor at the Winter Sports School for eight seasons. She is a Level 1 AASI certified instructor studying for higher certification in snowboarding and skiing. "Minnesota and the Iron Range are so privileged to have a facility like Giants Ridge," said Hannah. "I want to encourage everyone to embrace winter and all of the amazing experiences available at Giants Ridge."
