FIRST TIME SKIING OR RIDING?
Parents and Guests - here are a few tips on how to make your first adventure to Giants Ridge Ski Resort a great winter fun spot.
Pack the kids with the proper clothing. Layered wind proof and water proof outer gear is a must. Mittens or gloves that are also waterproof really keep the kids dry and warm. Wool or polypropelene socks are great. Feet stay warmer in this kind of sock. Cotton socks or inner layers does not wick perspiration away and does not keep the body warm. On the head, helmets are recommended. They are warmer and keep the wearer a little more safe. Remember a major potion of body heat escapes through our heads. Sometimes helmet liners or balaclava’s are great add ons.
Goggles or sunglasses help protect your eyes from glare or falling snow. Pack the sunscreen for any weather to protect against the suns rays.
