The Green Gate Farmhouse
The century-old Green Gate Farmhouse has been extensively renovated and updated while maintaining the rustic charm of the original structure. It is also the only home remaining home from the 1900 mining town that once occupied the property. Similar in size to the barn home, The Farmhouse has a full country kitchen, a beautiful maple slab dining table, and living room with WiFi and Direct TV. The upper floor provides one spacious private bedroom with a queen bed, a writing desk, plus a loft area with two twin beds. The newly added open front porch and three-season back porch are great for lounging (and sleeping!) during the warmer months. Reclaimed timber beams, barn wood walls, and unique stained glass accents make this a house to remember!

The Log Cabin
The Log Cabin can best be described as “Pioneer Living in Style!” Sometime around 1890, a very talented Finnish builder crafted several traditional log buildings on Minnesota’s Iron Range. We are fortunate to have one of these well-preserved structures and have masterfully converted it into a year-round home. The Log Cabin is a comfortable and very well-equipped home in a small footprint. The 15′ x 15′ floor plan includes a well-appointed kitchen, dining table, sofa, plus a full bathroom neatly tucked below the loft staircase. It offers modern comforts such as air conditioning and in-floor heat. To complete your log cabin experience, there is also a gorgeous glass-fronted wood stove and always a full supply of firewood available during your stay. The upper floor provides a peaceful rest space for 2 with a full-sized platform bed and great views of the surrounding forests.

Smoking and Pets
In an attempt to maintain a safe, allergen-free environment for all our guests, no smoking or pets are allowed on the premises.

Being a century-old farmstead, our property contains a variety of potential hazards including barbed wire fences, steep riverbanks, and vintage tractor parts rusting in the woods. That said, well-supervised children of all ages are welcome.
