Approximately 3 miles of purpose built gravity mountain bike trails will open in 2018! There will be three different trails, a free ride area, and other optional lines. Served by the NEW Sarajevo Express chairlift, trails range from beginner to intermediate and will be built to enhance rider enjoyment and fun! Stay tuned for details and photos and videos of the construction progress.
The Mesabi Trail Mesabi Trail runs right through Giants Ridge and was just named Best Rural Bike Trail in Minnesota by Star Tribune journalists. In describing the Mesabi Trail, Tribune editors said: “It’s hard to beat the Mesabi Tail, with 115 miles of completed paving that squeezes through rock cuts and offers stunning overlooks of open-pit mines, marinated in that North Country scenery.”
The Mesabi Trail currently stretches from Grand Rapids to McKinley, with additional paved spurs to Fayal Township, and between Bwabik, Giants Ridge and Aurora. The trail is open spring through fall.
Trail passes are required and may be purchased at the Giants Ridge Gift Shop.
3-Day Pass – $5
Season Pass – $15
