Join our Burnt Onion Kitchen & Brews team for a LIVE SUSHI MAKING + Tasting Class

Attendees will learn:

  • Introduction to sushi preparation, rice, seasonings, & spice. Processing and cutting fish/seafood. Necessary equipment & supplies.
  • Basic Maki Sushi technique and tips. Introduction to rolling Maki Sushi, also briefly covering the different styles.
  • Basic Nigiri technique and tips. Introduction to forming rice, slicing fish and connecting fish and rice.
  • Advanced styles + techniques, introduction to Sashimi, garnishing & plating.

Three separate group stations will be set up. Attendees will be provided a sushi kit to take home. Each station will have a set demonstration and set sushi items to make + taste, along with a Sake drink-pairing at each station.  

At the close of the demonstration class + tasting, the BOKB staff will provide a variety of sushi for attendees to enjoy. The end of the class will provide for demonstration with Q&A opportunities + final comments.
