MOUNTAIN BIKING CAMPS & CLINICS

Mountain bike skills camps & clinics are designed to promote fun, while building rider’s confidence and ability to handle their mountain bikes while reinforcing the core skills. We start with basic skills and techniques and build on mastering these in order for riders to be safe and enjoy their rides. We teach skill development using fun games, sequential skill mastery and developing risk and hazard perception off road. This is achieved through the development of fundamental and advanced skills which improve the rider’s capacity to overcome trail difficulties and avoid injury.

We offer a variety of mountain bike camps and clinics below!

All participants must fill out an Online Waiver & our Health History Form (print & bring on 1st day).

All instructors are PMBI certified or trained!

LITTLE GIANTS MOUNTAIN BIKING CLINIC-SESSION ADDED

Active Kids are Happy Kids! Get them started young with this 2-day beginner Mountain Bike Clinic; which is designed to promote FUN, while building your young rider’s confidence, and ability to handle their mountain bikes while reinforcing the core skills. This clinic will be based in our “Little Giants” Skills Park where our instructors focus on proper stance, braking, and trail awareness. Happy kids on bike, all while gaining skills they can use for a lifetime!

Clinic Must Haves

  • Child must be able to ride bike independently on two wheels
  • Your own bike with 16″ or 20″ rims (NO TRAINING WHEELS OR COASTER BRAKES)
  • Helmet
  • Backpack with water reservoir or water bottle attached to bike
  • Snack

Cost: $59 (includes T-shirt)

Ages: 5-7 (ages as of September 1, 2021)

INTRO YOUTH MOUNTAIN BIKING + BASIC SKILLS

Kids must be 4th-7th grade to sign up.

Is it hard to ride a mountain bike? Let our step-by-step guide to beginner mountain biking help make your riders first rides easier. Students will build confidence in tire grip, plus work on anticipation and focus points. The Intro Youth MTB Clinic + Basic Skills Camp will help develop participants lifelong skills and a commitment to active lifestyles that will encourage young riders to continue mountain biking as they become older – for fitness and enjoyment. Guest speakers from our program sponsor, Ski Hut, will help teach your child about bike maintenance and guest instructors will help inspire learning about this great sport. Each participant will also receive a one-day comp voucher to come back and ride our mountain bike park!
In this Intro Youth MTB Camp, you will be provided guidance on:

  • Bike set-up
  • Body position
  • Pressure control and balance
  • Bike and body separation
  • Cornering techniques
  • Climbing and descending
  • Braking techniques
  • And more…

INTERMEDIATE YOUTH MOUNTAIN BIKING SKILLS + DRILLS

Pumps, Bumps, and Rollers! Youth MTB Camp participants will learn the pure fun of mountain biking on our single track trails, as well as descending the mountain on our beautiful lift-served downhill gravity trails. This Progression Clinic is the next step to further solidify MTB fundamental skills plus learn a host of new skills to keep participants riding safely with increased speed, control, and confidence. Guest speakers from our program sponsor, Ski Hut, will help teach your child about bike maintenance and guest instructors will help inspire learning. Each participant will also receive a one-day comp voucher to come back and ride our mountain bike park!

WOMEN'S INTRO TO MOUNTAIN BIKING

RIDE LIKE A GRL!

How do I start mountain biking? In this Intro Women’s Mountain Biking clinic, we’ve designed it for women riders who want guidance in building confidence and skills to take their mountain biking to the next level. Participants will learn and practice skills in a safe, controlled environment from experienced mountain biking instructors with a passion for sharing knowledge and developing skills in others. This is not an intense downhill or jumps clinic, it is safety minded fun. Our coaches will cover the fundamentals and get you out on the bike trails.
In this Women’s MTB Clinic, you will learn:

  • Bike Set up for optimal riding and control
  • Correct Body Position Balanced
  • Bike/Body Separation
  • Vision – How to Look Ahead Correctly
  • Cornering Technique
  • How to Brake Effectively

Our Women’s Mountain Biking clinic session two, is the perfect way to continue to build on with what you learned in session one. This Progression Clinic is the next step to grow fundamental skills plus learn a host of new mountain biking skills to keep participants riding safely with increased speed, control, and confidence. WOMEN'S BEYOND BEGINNER GRAVITY MOUNTAIN BIKE CLINIC

RIDE LIKE A GRL!

Elevate your Riding Skills! 

This 2 day Clinic focuses on making you a better rider through increased confidence and improved understanding of the relationship between you and your bike.  Gravity focused, we will work on descending the steeps, navigating rocks, switchbacks, and berms. We will review skills on the green level gravity trails, then move on to the blue level gravity trails.
