RFID-FAQ

What is RFID?

RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification Device and consists of a small circuit integrated into your Season Pass or day ticket. When you pass through the lift line, this circuit will register and open an access gate automatically for hands-free and streamlined lift access.

Will my picture be on my card?

No, but we will still need to take a picture each year to update your guest profile in our system.

Will I be issued a card at Winter Warm-Up?

No, cards will be available to pick up Late November.

Can our cards be mailed to us?

No, cards will only be available onsite.

Will I have to scan the card each time going up the chairlift?

Yes, the gates will scan the card automatically as long as you are close. Watch for a video coming this fall regarding the process.

How does it work?

Watch the video below to see the whole process!

Where should I keep my card?

It is recommended to keep your card in a secure, left-handed zipped pocket on its own; the card must be kept separate from cell phones, bank cards, keys, or any aluminum products like foil gum packaging. Do not have more than one RFID card on you at a time, including from other resorts. Most Modern ski/snowboard jackets have built-in RFID pockets located on the lower left sleeve, which is ideal to keep your RFID card separate from other object.

Another option is to keep it in your left glove!

What happens if I lose my RFID card?

You can come to the Guest Services desk to declare your pass “lost”, the staff will deactivate the card and you will be issued a new card (replacement fee will be applied).
