Trail Descriptions

KITTY KAT: GREEN TECHNICAL TRAIL | 1.3 miles

This green technical trail can be used as both an uphill and a downhill trail. The trail is uphill-only if the lift is closed, and downhill-only when the lift is spinning. This trail doesn’t have any berms or man made features, but rather is designed to enhance the natural terrain. The trail meanders down the north side of the mountain, with a nice gentle rollers. The most challenging part of the trail are the switchback turns that snake down the mountain.

TADPOLE: GREEN FREERIDE TRAIL | 1.2 miles

This trail starts out mellow and gradually progresses in difficulty throughout the ride. This trail has man-made rollers, berms, rock crossings, and forgiving jump opportunities. This trail provides beginner riders a place to practice and progress before heading to Leap Frog. It is worth noting that while Tadpole is a green trail that is suited for beginners, it can be challenging for riders who are new to downhill mountain biking.

LEAP FROG: BLUE FREERIDE TRAIL | 1.0 miles

LeapFrog is a flowy intermediate trail designed to help riders hone their skills. Riders will encounter rollers, berms, rock features, and jump opportunities. All features are rollable so that riders can work up to jumping. Much like the name of the trail suggests, “LeapFrog” provides a great opportunity for riders to practice their leaping skills. Optional intermediate/advanced B-lines exist.

SECTOR 12: BLACK FREERIDE TRAIL | 0.6 miles

Sector 12 is gravity riding at its finest and is sure to excite even the most experienced gravity mountain bikers. Sector 12 contains all the elements of a true bike park style trail, including: massive berms, big jumps, fun flowy rollers, rock drops, bouldery rock gardens, all experienced at lightning speed. Although Sector 12 is designed to put you in the air, your tires don’t need to leave the ground unless you choose. Optional extremely difficult B-lines exist, which include rock drops and even a gap jump. Sector 12 showcases the GIANT granite boulders that are plentiful on the mountain.

GOLIATH: DOUBLE BLACK FREERIDE TRAIL | 0.8 miles

Don’t let the easy start fool you. Goliath is the Giant of the Ridge. The first descent is fast, chundery, and steep. The trail quickly transitions into two behemoth berms. The trail then starts to introduce some large jumps as you weave in and out of the ski runs. Be sure to be on your “A game” as you cross under the Sarajevo Express, you don’t want all your buddies on the lift to see you eat it! The trail stays rowdy all the way back to the lift so be ready to slay the Giant!

GRANITE GORGE: DOUBLE BLACK TECHNICAL TRAIL | 0.5 miles

Granite Gorge embraces the large granite slabs and boulders of Giants Ridge. Shortly after the trail starts there are two lines. The A line takes you down into a Gorge formed by two giant slabs of Granite, while the B line rolls off the steep, but smooth side of the slab. The trail then crosses a ski run and turns a corner on an incredible granite berm. The trail then continues to alternate between granite slabs and granite rock panels. As the trail moves lower down the mountain there a few short sections of dirt. After one final massive rock panel, the trail turns to the left, crosses two ski runs and joins up with the lower section of Goliath.
