Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 27th, and join us for a full day of Oktoberfest fun. Enjoy free activities including live, mountain-side music by the Northeast Timberland Band, Bavarian-inspired treats, yard games, axe throwing with The Forge Social Haus, and the always entertaining Bavarian Brewathlon (details below).

For an extra-special experience, don’t miss the Castle Danger Mountain Top Beer Tour (tickets available September 1st).

Make it a day to remember by pairing your afternoon at Oktoberfest at the Ridge with Honktoberfest in Biwabik in the morning and evening. To make things even easier, a complimentary shuttle will run between Giants Ridge and Biwabik for all our guests.

Take in the views, taste the flavors

We're partnering with Castle Danger Brewery once again on the Castle Danger Beer Tour. Hop on the Sarajevo Express chairlift for a scenic ride to the top of the hill, then enjoy a short stroll along our hiking trails where you’ll discover five tasting stations featuring Castle Danger beer samples perfectly paired with Bavarian treats. As you sip and savor, take in the sweeping mountain views and enjoy the lively sounds of our hilltop band, Polkas & Waltzes. When you’re ready, relax on the chairlift ride back down to the base.

FREE Bavarian Brewathlon

2PM | REGISTER IN PERSON

Grab your crew of 2–4 and compete for the title of “Der Meister”! Teams will face off in five lively challenges to rack up points and claim victory: Axe Throwing with The Forge Social Haus, Stein Racing, Keg Rolling, Stein Hoisting with Castle Danger, and the crowd-favorite Sausage Toss. Winners take home commemorative Oktoberfest mugs—and of course, bragging rights!

Northeast Timberland Band | 12-4PM

Keep the Oktoberfest vibes going at the base of the hill, where the Northeast Timberland Band will be bringing their signature sound to the stage. Their lively mix of rhythms and captivating melodies will set the tone for an unforgettable afternoon—whether you’re dancing with friends, enjoying a stein of beer, or just soaking up the festive atmosphere. With the mountains as your backdrop and great music in the air, it’s the perfect way to round out your Oktoberfest experience.

The music stylings of Rosanne Omersa and Matt Jarva will be filling the Burnt Onion Kitchen & Brews from 12:30-2:30PM.

Dress to Impress!

No Oktoberfest is complete without a little Bavarian flair—so don your Lederhosen or slip into a classic Dirndl and join the celebration at the Ridge! Dressing up adds to the fun!

Free Shuttle to Biwabik

FREE | 11AM-5PM

In collaboration with Honktoberfest, a complimentary shuttle will run from Biwabik to Giants Ridge throughout the event. Pick up/Drop off in Biwabik will be on the South East Corner of the intersection of 135 and 5th Avenue, across the street from The Community United Church of Christ.

Oktoberfest at the Ridge is a part of a larger event with the Biwabik Civic Area Associations annual Honktoberfest event. We have combined our previously separate events into one larger weekend long celebration of activities, games, live music and beer!
