Who is excited for Summer?!

Our team at Giants Ridge has been working hard to get ready for Mountain Biking and Summer Adventure, however, this year will look a little different due to the extensive snowmaking infrastructure and the Pool & Sauna Haus construction projects (see updates here) taking place at Giants Ridge this year.

Summer and fall operations will be impacted in the following ways:

Mountain Biking:

Downhill mountain biking will have modified operational days.

XC mountain biking trails will be open 7 days a week, sun up to sun down like normal. Access to South trail will be via the Mesabi Trail. Kitty Cat will be closed for uphill access on days the chairlift is not operating.

Intermittent closures of specific trails will happen throughout the summer/fall depending on where construction activities are taking place. Possible trails effected: Goliath, Granite Gorge, Featherlys, Techonite, Return to Sender, and Kitty Cat.

Skills Park: The Little Giants Skills Park will be open only on days that the chairlift is operating, and for Giants Ridge Mountain Sports School Camps/Clinics. See more info about camps and clinics.

Mesabi Trail and Trail Bike Rentals:

Some minor detours will occur during construction. Trail bike rentals will be available 7 days a week beginning May 25th.

Hiking:

• Wynne Lake Vista Trail will be closed
• North Face and Sleeping Giant hiking trails will be closed Monday-Friday
• Intermittent closures of the Ridgeview Overlook Trail will be necessary

Disc Golf:

Giants Ridge disc golf course will be closed for the 2024 season. The Kind of the North Tournament will be held as scheduled October 4-6.

Climbing Wall:

Giants Ridge Climbing Wall will operate as normal Thursday-Sunday 9AM-5PM.

Mountain Access:

No access to the Giants Ridge alpine slopes for general hiking and walking on the Mountain will be permitted Monday-Friday.

Horses:

No Horses are allowed on trails.

Parking:

Parking Lots D and E (dirt parking lots) will be closed for construction and unavailable.

Golf:

Both The Legend and The Quarry courses will operate as normal. See golf courses here.

Restaurants:

The Burnt Onion Kitchen & Brews, The Wacootah Grille, and The Bunkers Grill will operate normal hours. See hours here.

Golf Pro Shop and Mountain Sports Shop:

Mountain Sports Shop and Golf Pro Shop will operate as normal.
