The week of trail work!

Our crews have been working their butts off getting the bike park back in shape this week. We supplemented our normal crew of 4 trails guys with 4-6 additional workers to help patch the park back together after last week’s intense rain storm. So here is a list of the trails the crew has gotten open through Blood (mostly from mosquito and sand-fly bite), Sweat (from the heat and long sleeves to protect from the bugs), and Tears (due to the bad bugs)

Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday:

Ribbits 1, and 2
Tadpole
Leapfrog
Sector 12
Techonite (possible Saturday Opening)

Trail crews pushing hard to get Sector 12 compacted and open for the weekend

In addition to our crews we have also had Matt from Elemental Industries onsite tweaking a few sections on Return to Send’er. That trail won’t be open this weekend, but he has been making some necessary tweaks on that trail to improve rideability. He is doing work before and after the “big bridge” and created a new “ride around” on the road drop, as well as improving the merge point where Return to Send’er joins with Kitty Cat.

Next week we are hoping to get a few more trails opened back up as well likely starting with Featherlys and Return to Send’er. We will also be starting the first round of weed-wacking around the park.

In addition, this week, the Gift Shop took delivery of more Fox gear, so be sure to check out some of the new helmets, and Fox MTB shoes!

Finally, this week our Mountain Sports School completed training for our crew of Mountain Bike Instructors. We have a great group of instructors this year, so if you haven’t booked your Ride Like a GRL session, or signed your kids up for one of the youth camps, be sure to do so!

We’re so excited to see everyone again this weekend!
