Projected Mountain Bike Trails Open:

Trail Restoration Progress

Our trail crews have been working like crazy to get our trails re-opened and the work they have been doing has been really high quality!  If you see one of our trail crew members be sure to say thanks and give them a high 5!  We wouldn’t be able to re-open without their hard work!  We still have a lot of work to do to get our trails opened back up, but we have made great progress in the two weeks since the storm.

Matt Torvinen with Elemental Industries was here for a week working on Leap Frog and Sector 12.  His work on Leap Frog gave our crew the jump start it needed to be able to get that trail finished in time.  We still have more work to do on Sector 12, but Matt was able to get the worst sections put back together before he had to leave.  We are very grateful for the amount of work he was able to do while he was here.

We still have other mountain bike trail builders lined up for the weeks after the 4th holiday to help continue to open more trails.  We are expecting a crew from Pathfinder trails that will likely start on Ribbit 3 sometime the week of July 8th.

We also have CC Winger working on repairing some of the damage that was done to our cross country ski trails.

A friendly reminder that the camps and clinics that are put on by our Mountain Sports School are still on as scheduled, so be sure to check out the website or call 218-865-8017 for more information on those.

Thank you for being a part of the Giants Ridge community.
